Just as Underwriters Laboratory was set up to make electricity safe for the world, insurers have a huge opportunity (and responsibility) with climate change. 

The industry needs to stop wishing others could see the critical role we can play in preparing for climate change and just start playing that role.

Apprenticeships can attract talent from among the underserved, and an industry initiative now makes the opportunity widely available.

The basic conflict: Insurers see policies as complex, but consumers expect a transaction to take no more than four clicks.
